HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead our Laboratory team. You will oversee day-to-day staff, ensure accurate test results, and monitor quality assurance activities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, MT/CLS (ASCP) or equivalent, and at least 5 years of supervisory experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and career growth in a 340+ bed acute care hospital.

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day laboratory staff.
• Monitor and report test results.
• Perform, monitor and review quality assurance/control on diagnostic testing and initiate corrective action on exceptions.
• Monitor reports for accuracy and documentation of abnormal/critical values.
• Document and evaluate performance of MTs, MLTs, Phlebotomists and Clerical personnel.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

You will be responsible for day to day supervision of staff and reporting of test results.

You will be responsible for performing, monitoring and reviewing quality assurance/control on diagnostic testing and for initiating appropriate corrective action on exceptions.

You will monitor all reports for accuracy and appropriate documentation of abnormal/critical values.

You will assist with documenting and evaluating performance of MT’s, MLT’s, Phlebotomists and Clerical personnel.

What qualification you will need:

Bachelor degree in Medical Technology is required.

MT or CLS (ASCP) or equivalent is required.

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
