Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead the Laboratory team and ensure quality patient care.

You will oversee day-to-day staff supervision, monitor test results, drive quality assurance and corrective actions, and support MTs, MLTs, Phlebotomists and clerical staff.

This role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology is required.
• MT or CLS (ASCP) or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for day to day supervision of staff and reporting of test results.
• You will be responsible for performing, monitoring and reviewing quality assurance/control on diagnostic testing and for initiating appropriate corrective action on exceptions.
• You will monitor all reports for accuracy and appropriate documentation of abnormal/critical values.
• You will assist with documenting and evaluating performance of MT's, MLT's, Phlebotomists and Clerical personnel.
