Job summary

Serif Biomedicines is seeking a highly organized Laboratory Operations Associate to support sample management, inventory, and day-to-day operations for the CMC and broader laboratory teams.

You will work closely with the CMC team to build and maintain an efficient system, organize final cargo, coordinate handoffs across teams, and help procure reagents and consumables. This role offers growth into lab management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
• 2+ years of laboratory operations or sample management experience.
• Hands-on bench experience at the Research Associate or Associate Scientist level.
• Experience with cytometers, Fragment Analyzers, and chromatography instruments.
• Strong cross-functional communication with scientists and operations leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain sample management and inventory system for CMC and labs.
• Organize final cargo and coordinate handoffs across teams.
• Provide updates on cargo inventory to leadership.
• Procure key enzymes, buffers, and consumables; support lab operations.
• Run decontamination and cleaning protocols for analyzers and cytometers.
• Assist in onboarding new lab members and provisioning equipment.
• Support lab space optimization and safety checks.

Education

BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
