Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Associate to maintain supplies, manage inventories, and support safe handling of gases and cryogenic liquids. You will ensure GDP-compliant documentation and coordinate workflows across multiple teams and sites.

The role requires a life sciences degree, strong computer/organizational skills, and the ability to commute between nearby sites. Standard first shift, full-time with potential overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Ability to independently commute between different site locations (<5 miles).
• Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory supplies and reagents inventory.
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and/or cryogenic liquids.
• Clean and monitor controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets.
• Use electronic management systems to track maintenance and calibration status.
• Coordinate workflows between teams/departments using electronic systems.
• Manage paper lab notebooks and logbooks; document GDP adherence.
• Assist in coordinating and performing equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Overtime and weekend schedule may be required.
• Lab spaces cleaned, organized and labeled per procedures.
• Complete safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.
• Support laboratories across multiple sites.

Job Description

• Maintaining laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and preparation of media
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and/or cryogenic liquids.
• Cleaning and monitoring of controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSC)
• Use of electronic management and tracking systems for monitoring and documenting routine maintenance and calibration status of laboratory equipment.
• Use of electronic systems to initiate and coordinate workflows between multiple teams/departments
• Management of paper lab notebook and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation
• Completion of all work and documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Assists in coordination and execution of reoccurring equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Participates in overtime and weekend schedule as required.
• Cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spaces in accordance with effective procedures.
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.
• Complete tasks listed above in laboratory areas that handle potent chemical compounds.
• Support of laboratory area located on multiple sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more, walking and standing for extended periods of time, pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Ability to independently commute between different site locations (< 5 miles between sites)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, first-shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed.
