Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee daily operations in the clinical laboratory, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and sign out interpretive results as needed.

You will lead staff across chemistry and other departments, drive continuous improvement, and maintain CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards while promoting service excellence and collaboration with quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science.
• 5+ years of Laboratory Administrative/Management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accreditation regulations, CLIA and OSHA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Ability to manage quality and handle highly confidential information.
• Experience with accreditation processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in all lab departments with oversight for Chemistry and PM/Graveyard staff.
• Collaborate with management to align performance levels with goals and objectives.
• Ensure laboratory processes comply with statutory/regulatory requirements and staff training.
• Promote professional development through staff reviews and goal setting.
• Coordinate with quality and lab management teams on policies and procedures; ensure QA/QC and safety.
• Maintain staffing, inventory, competency, and regulatory compliance for efficient lab operation.
• Stay current with advancements in laboratory testing and instrumentation.
• Support a culture of Service Excellence, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity and Respect.
• Lead continuous improvement programs and prepare for inspections.
