Job summary

AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist in a supervisory role. The incumbent will oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and support preparation of blood components for transfusion as needed.

The position requires a doctoral or bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science and at least six years of CLS experience in an acute care setting, including four years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Earned a doctoral or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Six years experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care laboratory with 4 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, coordinates and monitors the day-to-day operational functions of laboratory sections.
• Implements quality standards and provides oversight to achieve excellent patient care.
• Maintains regulatory compliance, quality control records, and instrument maintenance; prepares blood components for transfusion when applicable.
