Job summary

Desert View Hospital in a rural Nevada setting seeks an experienced Lab Manager to lead all general laboratory sections, including hematology, chemistry, and Blood Bank, overseeing staff, training, quality control, and inventory. You will ensure compliance with CAP and state inspections and coordinate with other departments to maintain high-quality, cost-conscious lab services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with NV board certification.
• Three years laboratory leadership experience in acute care hospital.
• State of Nevada General Supervisor license.
• Cerner Millennium training preferred.
• Managed care/utilization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and oversee all general laboratory sections (hematology, coagulation, Blood Bank, chemistry, etc.).
• Monitor test reporting, quality control, QA, policies, and procedures.
• Staffing, training, and oversight of technical and phlebotomy staff; lab vendor relations.
• Maintain CAP and State inspection readiness and ensure cost containment and efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments and oversee multiple locations.
