Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV is seeking a Laboratory Manager to provide administrative, financial and operational leadership for the hospital laboratory. You will oversee workflows, staffing, budgeting and regulatory readiness to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology, ASCP certification or equivalent, and Nevada General Supervisor license (or eligibility).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological sciences, clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college or university.
• ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Nevada General Supervisor license or eligibility to work while license is pending.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, financial and operational leadership for the laboratory and day-to-day operations.
• Oversee workflow, staffing, scheduling and budgeting.
• Ensure regulatory readiness (CLIA, CAP, JC, ACHC and other agencies) and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and laboratory staff to ensure safe, efficient operations that support patient care.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological sciences, clinical laboratory science or medical technology
