HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Manager to assist the Director with leadership for planning, implementation, integration, and coordination of Laboratory Services. The role supports regulatory compliance and operational excellence for the facility in Pensacola.

The position involves developing short and long-term programs, coordinating daily activities, and participating in hiring to maintain a qualified team, while promoting patient safety and a culture of high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years in laboratory as Medical Technologist.
• 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License with qualification in Microbiology, Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, or Immunohematology.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License with qualifications in Microbiology, Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Molecular Pathology.
• MT (ASCP) or CLS (ASCP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director with development of short and long-term laboratory programs and project plans.
• Assist with planning and coordination of department's daily activities and operations.
• Participate in hiring to recruit qualified personnel.
• Provide direction to staff and supervisors of the Laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, Joint Commission, CAP, and local regulatory requirements.
