Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a Hospital Laboratory Director to lead the hospital's laboratory operations, ensuring high quality patient care and regulatory compliance. The role oversees management functions, quality improvement, fiscal stewardship, and HR activities for the lab team.

The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree and a Florida Supervisor's License in key areas, plus 3+ years in a supervisory role in a clinical lab. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree required.
• Florida Supervisor's License in specified lab areas required.
• 3+ years in supervisory/management role in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management functions of the hospital laboratory; monitor performance and ensure adherence to policies and timelines.
• Develop, implement and monitor new policies; ensure in-services and staff meetings are attended.
• Evaluate and improve quality and patient service; monitor quality data and corrective actions.
• Manage resources including payroll, supplies, and expenses; prepare budgets and capital requests.
• Lead HR activities: hiring, evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions; ensure timely staff actions.
• Direct and coordinate IRL system/Hospital lab operations and communications; participate in governance and reports.
