Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Texas is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support daily laboratory operations and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is responsible for supervising frontline staff, supporting operational excellence, and helping ensure efficient, high-quality service across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of laboratory experience including specimen collection and processing.
• Two years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare, laboratory, or medical setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of phlebotomists, laboratory assistants, processors, couriers, data entry staff, and team leads.
• Coach, train, and develop employees to promote engagement, performance, and service excellence.
• Help manage daily operations, staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
• Build strong relationships with patients, clients, and internal teams to ensure outstanding service.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, and operational resources to support uninterrupted service.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support specimen collection, processing, and handling activities as needed.
• Assist with operational projects, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
