Job summary

Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center Campus seeks a Laboratory Manager to join our team. The role supports Microbiology and STAT labs, with responsibility for ensuring quality, customer satisfaction and efficient operations in a hospital setting.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology or related field, MLS/HTL/CT/AMT certifications, and several years of laboratory leadership experience, including supervision of 25+ staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, biological science, or related field or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Experience: four (4) years in laboratory operations; two (2) years in supervisory role preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: MLS/HTL/CT/ABHI/MT/AMT etc. as listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement processes to monitor and improve customer satisfaction.
• Oversee laboratory operations ensuring quality, cost efficiency and patient care.
• Supervise staff and manage payroll, inventory, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, FDA, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, HCFA).
• Provide leadership and training; mentor staff and ensure competency.
