Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks an experienced healthcare laboratory leader to manage day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory, including technical operations, performance improvement, safety, credentialing and HR management. This role also oversees budgeting, cost control and overall financial performance of the lab.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, competency assessments, policy compliance with DNV/AABB/CAP, and coordinating with leadership to achieve strategic goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related science.
• Two years lab management experience.
• Licensure or other state certification as required by Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Assist section Leads with staffing and assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
• Develop training and competency assessments; conduct monthly staff meetings.
• Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial indicators for the Lab; develop cost-reduction strategies.
• Coordinate regulatory duties with accreditation agencies and ensure compliance.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and Lean/Six Sigma projects in the lab.
• Oversee safety programs, hazard rounds, and the lab safety committee.
