Job summary

The Christ College in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Laboratory Specialist to perform specialized and routine tests across the lab. You will provide technical and operational support, acting as a liaison with internal and external customers and ensuring quality results.

In the absence of the laboratory manager, you will oversee procedures, reporting, and personnel matters while coordinating workflow and staff development to maintain testing efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical lab science or medical technology accredited program; or
• Associate's in lab science or medical laboratory technology; or
• Equivalent training per CLIA regulation; or military Medical Laboratory Specialist certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine tests across laboratory areas.
• Provides technical and operational support to the lab and acts as liaison with customers.
• In manager's absence, ensures proper lab procedures, reporting results and personnel handling.
• Leads daily workflow for specimen processing and phlebotomy areas and coordinates staff.
• Assesses staff competency, participates in interviewing, training and performance reviews.
