Job summary

Lead the team, train staff, and ensure timely, accurate results in a 130+ bed hospital within the HCA network.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to support patient care and laboratory operations on-site.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical or Physical Science.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science.
Certification within 6 months of hire for new hires.

Responsibilities

Reviews work of others and resolves technical problems in the department.
Maintains accreditation with JCAHO, CAP, state, FDA.
Demonstrates leadership by developing standards, delegating authority, and ensuring quality.
Evaluates testing results, ensures validity, and maintains documentation.
Assists in hiring, training, and performance appraisals for staff.
Oversees quality control programs and ensures safety in the laboratory.
