Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science with ASCP registration.
• 1-3 years of demonstrated success and experience in positions of progressively increasing responsibility in a medical lab environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
• Good computer skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with people.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision to technical and lab staff to meet business objectives and customer expectations.
• Communicate work assignments and workflow efficiently to staff.
• Assist with scheduling and bench assignments to maintain competency.
• Maintain competency in technical areas and perform bench duties.
• Cover weekend shifts and holiday rotation as needed.
• Support quality assurance activities and CAP inspection readiness.
• Assist with staff development and corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure documentation completion within established timeframes.
• Assist in compliance policy development and department safety.
