Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Education equivalency acceptable if deemed equivalent to US bachelor’s degree by credentialing.
• Meets Educational requirements of an MLT-II (or equivalent) per CLIA/credentialing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and testing of assigned section, including staffing, procedures, policies and quality improvement.
• Organize, plan, direct, evaluate and provide general oversight for all laboratory operations within the designated section.
• Provide leadership and administrative support to laboratory associates.
• Ensure standards of care align with CHRISTUS Health Mission and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with hospital administration to achieve departmental goals.
• Promote development of associates and implement process improvements for quality and cost-effective services.
• Support CHRISTUS Health by handling additional responsibilities as needed.
