Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent training.
• Certification for MT/MLS/CLS/MLT from recognized boards (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in assigned sections.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments and equipment; notifies Biomed as needed.
• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as required.
• Ensures the quality control program is properly followed.
• Calculates, enters, and verifies results; uses the Laboratory Information System.
• Communicates critical laboratory values promptly and accurately.
• Supports specimen collection, handling, and distribution with attention to pediatric volumes when required.
• Contributes to development and implementation of new testing procedures.
• Adheres to CORE values and compliance policies.
