As a Laboratory Office Assistant, you will greet customers, schedule appointments, answer and direct telephone calls and mail, and assist clients in completing any necessary forms. You will enter Physician orders and retrieves test results from the laboratory information system, file reports and enter manual charges for proper patient billing. Experience with following detailed information, policies and processes will help you be successful in this role.
You will also work with word processing and database computer programs, maintain patient logs, and assist with the maintenance of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and billing compliance/audits.Knowledge of general laboratory workflow and basic medical terminology, understanding of Laboratory Medicine, or equivalent exposure to these topics is preferred.
This is a full time, 40 hours per week, day shift opportunity from 6am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

High School or better in General Studies.
Knowledge of general laboratory workflow and basic medical terminology, understanding of Laboratory Medicine, or equivalent exposure to these topics preferred
Experience with ICD and CPT codes
Two years as an office assistant in a clinical healthcare setting
Two years of experience with computer programs and navigating software such as LIS, EPIC, and Meditech
