Job summary

Desert View Hospital in Nevada seeks a Lab Manager to oversee multiple laboratory sites, including hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and phlebotomy services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost containment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with NV board certification and at least three years of hospital-lab leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with Board certification recognized by the State of NV.
• Three years laboratory leadership experience in acute care hospital.
• Experience with regulatory agencies, project management, and staffing/inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and oversee all general lab sections (hematology, chemistry, Blood Bank, etc.).
• Monitor test reporting, quality control, and quality assurance.
• Staffing, training, and oversight of technical and phlebotomy staff.
• Maintain CAP and State inspection readiness at all times.
• Coordinate with other departments and manage vendor relations.
