Job summary

Labcorp in Rogersville, TN is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead daily operations in a high-volume diagnostics lab. The role emphasizes supervision, staff development, and ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, and ISO standards, while maintaining excellent service metrics.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science, at least 4 years of clinical lab experience, and 1+ year of leadership. Tennessee supervisor license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science or medical technology.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• 1+ year of supervising or leading a team.
• Tennessee Supervisor license.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operational activities of the department, including technical and non-technical operations.
• Manage staffing and production scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and overtime control.
• Supervise, train, and mentor supervisors and staff to meet service metrics and TAT targets.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, State, ISO and corporate requirements for personnel safety and quality of testing.
• Develop and implement laboratory procedures and installation of equipment and methods.
• Oversee hiring, performance management, and staff development.
• Maintain effective communication with leadership, clients, and staff.
• Conduct departmental meetings and ensure clear communication.
• Investigate deviations and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Maintain technical knowledge of laboratory testing across assigned departments.
