Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) seeks a Laboratory Director in California to lead our environmental laboratory operations, assuring quality, profitability, and timely client service.

You will guide staff, manage budgets, and drive KPIs while implementing new technologies and processes to meet regulatory and client expectations. A bachelor’s or master’s in science and 7+ years of lab management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field required.
• Minimum seven years of environmental lab management experience.
• Proven leadership, initiative, and team-building skills.
• Experience with VOC analysis under SW846 or EPA TO methods.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative leadership for laboratory operations.
• Drive revenue, profitability, and timely delivery while ensuring quality and compliance.
• Lead staffing, budgeting, and KPI achievement across the lab.
• Oversee implementation of new technologies and systems in production.
• Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen leadership and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure safety, ethics, and regulatory compliance across departments.
