Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) seeks an Analyst I to prepare and analyze environmental samples according to EPA methods. You will work under supervision, gaining experience with standard techniques and routine instrumentation in a regulated lab.

The role requires a BS/BA in chemistry (or related field) or 3 years of lab experience, plus strong English reading/writing skills, problem solving, and time management. Must be within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years lab experience may substitute for degree.
• Laboratory experience is helpful.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; strong problem solving & time management skills.
• Ability to use calculators and apply mathematical concepts; meet deadlines.
• Work independently following written or verbal instructions and cooperate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Conduct chemical analyses using standard methods.
• Record, report data and any unusual occurrences to supervisor.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance in the lab.
• Operate and become trained on GC, GC/MS, AA, ICP and related systems.
