Job summary

Veracity Ventures Inc. in Memphis, TN seeks a Laboratory Director to lead the daily operation of the laboratory, manage budgets, direct staff, and ensure quality of testing across all areas.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Health Science, 5 years of management in acute care, and active certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Health Science Specialty.
• Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
• Experience: 5 years of progressive management experience in an acute care facility.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent).
• Licensure, as required by State law.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets.
• Directs staff & daily operations of department
• Has the ability to hire, fire and discipline
• Responsible for Tenet Healthcare Laboratory technical development, implementation and integration within areas of technical expertise, to include instrument acquisition, logistic support and laboratory information systems integration
• Performs related duties as required
