Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Ashland, OH is seeking a laboratory technician to generate and record data with minimal supervision for studies. You will handle and process samples, perform basic lab tasks, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting in a GLP environment.

Education typically requires a Bachelor's degree, and zero to two years of related experience in biology, chemistry/pharmacy, or similar lab setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic technical skills and operation of data collection equipment.
• Knowledge of GLPs and other federal regulations and guidelines.
• Basic understanding of study design and protocols; able to read study protocols and extract information.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory procedures and record data in compliance with GLPs/SOPs and study protocols.
• Under supervision may act as lead technician on basic studies.
• Input, print and edit laboratory data entries and records.
• Prepare materials and data for shipment and archiving.
• Receive samples and complete tracking documentation.
• Review documentation for quality control requirements.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
