Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator for FSER to provide expertise in quality assurance, proficiency testing, and regulatory compliance to support patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor in Medical Technology, Florida supervisor license, and 3-5 years as a Medical Technologist; you will lead QC/QA, prepare licensure paperwork, and act as a resource for point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and related field.
• State of Florida Supervisor License or eligibility to obtain during interview process.
• Supervisor license in Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry or Hematology, Microbiology, & Serology.
• 3-5 years of previous experience as a Medical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Review proficiency testing and quality assurance data; collaborate with facility POC departments to develop corrective actions.
• Complete records/documentation for QA and point-of-care testing.
• Interpret patient results with independent judgment and correlation.
• Monitor licensure status and assist in preparing licensure and renewal paperwork (CAP, CLIA, AHCA, etc.).
• Prepare annual assessment of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory performance; review performance data with leadership.
