Qualifications

• ASCP, ASCPI, NCA, or AMT registered as MT, MLS, or IMLS.
• BS in Medical Technology or Bachelor’s degree with prerequisite coursework and clinical training (required).
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, meet alternate route requirements for ASCP/NCA/AMT certification.
• Two years clinical laboratory experience (required).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory analyses with judgment.
• Report results and document per department policy; monitor quality control.
• Supervise in the absence of the Section Supervisor/Manager.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments; ensure calibration and QC.
• Handle information systems and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and regulatory requirements.
