Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to perform diverse laboratory tests across multiple disciplines. The role emphasizes precise data interpretation, instrument maintenance, and timely collaboration with nursing staff to support patient care.

Qualifications include a CA CLS license and a B.M.T. degree or equivalent, with at least one year of acute care experience; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license per CA State Board.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• At least one year of acute care hospital experience; new grads will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures in multiple lab areas including bacteriology, hematology, chemistry, immunology, serology, urinalysis, immunohematology.
• Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and record data.
• Collaborate with nursing and hospital staff to ensure timely patient care and regulatory compliance.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Clinical Lab Scientists perform clinical testing in one or more of the following areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology and manual tests. Our team is amazing; we consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

• You will perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology. According to established procedures and policies
• You will perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organize work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained
• You will work actively and be cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care as well as assist with regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license per CA State Board
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university
• At least one year of acute care hospital experience; new grads will be considered
