Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center seeks a Core Lab Quality Supervisor to lead chemistry and hematology QA, oversee records and compliance, and contribute to performance improvement. The role combines bench work with oversight of QA forms, reports and metrics in a high-volume clinical lab.

The ideal candidate holds an active California CLS license, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 3 years of hospital laboratory experience, with strong knowledge of LIS and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active California CLS license
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory principles, practices, and techniques
• Working knowledge of laboratory information systems
• Working knowledge of quality assurance/ performance improvement programs
• Minimum of 3 years of hospital laboratory experience in General Laboratory testing including methodological details and quality control

Responsibilities

• supervise a variety of day-to-day operational functions and the Quality Assurance oversight for the Chemistry and Hematology sections
• This position provides technical bench work as needed to support workload demands
• You will establish and maintain laboratory records, reports, statistics, logs, and files consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies (e.g. CAP, DHS, TJC, FDA, CLIA, HCFA and OIG Laboratory Compliance)
• You will maintain oversight of Quality Control, Linearities, department QA forms, QAP, Quality Metrics and Quality Reports
• You will understand and actively participate in the departmental performance improvement, quality control, safety, environmental and infection control programs
