Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification or relevant experience in phlebotomy/Order/Entry.
• Must have good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and specimen handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, and distribute laboratory specimens to departments and reference laboratories.
• Enter and monitor all send-out specimens into the Cerner system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide communication link between hospital personnel and laboratory staff; maintain certification and skills for direct patient care.
