Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing in Phoenix, AZ, or Las Vegas, NV, seeks a seasoned Business Unit Manager (BUMa) to lead laboratory operations, drive profitability, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

You will supervise all laboratory personnel, coordinate with corporate partners, manage budgets, and develop strategies for business growth while maintaining high quality and safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field; equivalent directly-related experience acceptable
• 10+ years supervisory experience
• 10+ years lab operations experience with profit/loss accountability - $5M+ Net Sales or equivalent size operation
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead team, schedule, and train employees
• Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
• Ensure coverage and performance

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Manage the technical conduct, quality control, and related record keeping of all analytical evaluations performed
• Supervision and coordination of all technical activities within sound scientific and business practices

• Ensure health, safety, and environmental programs are adhered to and documented
• Establish and maintain professional business relationships with clients and peers
• Assist in marketing strategies and technical proposals for business growth
• Serve as member of Corporate Management team and input on financial growth
• Coordinate activities with other locations to meet customer expectations
• Oversee overall operational success including budgeting, capital decisions, revenue and cost control
