Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center seeks a Laboratory Business Supervisor to lead the laboratory's financial and operational oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and contracting.

The role interfaces with vendors, drives procurement and KPI reporting, analyzes data for improvements, mentors staff, and ensures compliance with accreditation standards while advancing department objectives and patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Business or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills and strong attention to details.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Training and development ability on Grants and Finance transacting matters.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Director, handles all fiscal and business activities of the laboratory including budgeting expenses, forecasting, purchasing, and contracting.
• Interface between the Laboratory and stakeholders, including but not limited to vendors procurement, inventory management, document control management, tracking and statistics reporting.
• Maintains operational performance and metrics analysis.
• Demonstrates leadership skills, including team building and the ability to motivate and engage others.
• Familiar with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyses data to identify opportunities and develop actionable improvements to better manage business needs.
