Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a PRN phlebotomist to join a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory. The role involves performing venipuncture, receiving and distributing specimens, and processing samples for testing with attention to safety and quality.

Responsibilities include operating the lab automation line, supporting specimen requirements, and ensuring timely collection. BLS certification is required; various healthcare experience or a phlebotomy program are acceptable

Job Summary

Qualifications

Experience

• 3 months phlebotomy experience, or a phlebotomy certificate with 32 hours of clinical rotation, or 6 months experience in a medical field providing patient care which includes drawing blood or blood processing, or current MLT student in clinical rotations, or one or more college level courses in a biological science

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure / Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re‑training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re‑training for duration of employment.

Compensation / Benefits

• $15.45-$25.24/hr depending on previous work experience
• Position qualifies for $1.75/hr PRN differential
