Gundersen Health System in Wisconsin is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician/Phlebotomist to facilitate specimen flow and collect samples using venipuncture, capillary draws, swabs, and urine collection. You will train patients on self-collection when needed.

The Laboratory Support Technician/Phlebotomist facilitates specimen flow into the lab for diagnostic testing. They collect specimens via venipuncture, capillary draw, swab, urine collection, and provide instruction for self‑collections. They work with diverse patient demographics across trauma, ICU, urgent care, pediatrics, orthopedics, cardiopulmonary, surgical, digestive, and similar settings, and respond to emergencies in hospital and clinic environments. They are trained in specimen processing including centrifuge use, blood component separation, micro set‑up, referral lab, point‑of‑care, media preparation, Istat, urine dips, and other laboratory functions.
64 hours biweekly (0.8 FTE). 8‑hour day shifts (5:15a.m. or 5:45a.m. start) with every other weekend rotation. Full‑time orientation for 5‑6 weeks.
