Responsibilities
Primarily works in the lab technical departments. Assists with technical procedures within regulatory guidelines. Handles telephone calls and other clerical duties. May perform CLIA-waived and moderate complex testing, and provide phlebotomy support, as permitted by local and state regulations.
Following local and state regulations, perform CLIA-waived and moderate complexity testing according to written policies. Evaluate and release test results under supervision, considering quality control, instrument performance, specimen integrity, and prior results.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience | High School Diploma or GED |
Required Certification and License | Nevada: CLA:NV. Other state licenses not required. |
Preferred Certifications | Phlebotomy program certificate, Lab Assistant Program certification |
Preferred Experience | Six months experience in an acute care facility |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training | Excellent customer service and time management skills |
