AdventHealth in Texas is hiring a full-time Phlebotomy/Lab Technician to support the laboratory with specimen collection, processing, and testing coordination. The role requires strong English communication, attention to safety, and adherence to patient care standards.

Responsibilities include staining, culture setup, instrument cleaning, quality control, and customer service support, with a daytime schedule including weekends.

Formación

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to read text and numbers in English.
• Learn and apply computer-related applications (MS Office).
• Mature judgment; handle confidential information.
• Phlebotomy skills required.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Full Time Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays 8am - 8:30pm.
• May perform cytopreparatory staining and accessions surgical cases with knowledge of anatomy.
• May receive and set up primary specimen cultures, inoculating petri dishes for bacterial growth.
• May clean and disinfect laboratory equipment and spaces, maintaining inventory control.
• Participates in laboratory and hospital performance improvement activities.
• Provides resolution to customer service issues within guidelines and supports education to staff.
• Follows safety policies including PPE, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling.
• Collects patient, physician, and test order information to create patient accounts.
