Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Euless, TX is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our night team. This full-time, night-shift role supports chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis testing while delivering high-quality patient care.

You will load samples, monitor reagents, and store specimens while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume lab. A High School diploma and 1 year of phlebotomy or medical assisting experience are preferred, along with data entry skills and strong professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year phlebotomist or medical assistant experience in a high-volume lab preferred.
• 1 year data entry experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
• Familiar with basic medical and laboratory terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Loads laboratory samples onto instrumentation for chemistry, hematology and urinalysis.
• Closely watches instrument consumables and loads reagents/cleaners as needed during the night.
• Stores specimens at the end of the night using SSR.
• Investigate missing specimens during the night.
• Processes/Pull ADD-ON samples.
• Assists processing department based on volume and staffing needs.
