Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a part-time phlebotomy technician to support the laboratory with blood collection, specimen processing, and basic clerical duties. You will ensure proper handling of specimens, maintain safety standards, and participate in quality control and training for staff.

The role requires strong English communication, proficiency with basic computer systems, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a hospital setting. Training and safety resources are provided.

Qualifications

• High School grad or equivalent required.
• Technical/vocational training preferred.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or lab settings is a plus.
• Proficient in using hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• May perform point of care testing and related quality control.
• Handle clerical and receptionist duties as needed.
• Collects patient and test order information to create accounts.
• May perform blood collection via venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Process and transport specimens to testing departments.
• Maintain equipment, safety, and cleanliness in the lab.
