Job Description

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the lab assistant supports functions such as preanalytical processing, preparing specimens for reference laboratories, accessioning/registration, performing waived and moderate complexity testing, inventory management, specimen storage and retrieval, and laboratory maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience as a Medical or Lab Assistant or demonstrated laboratory experience
• Ability to follow OSHA and regulatory standards to maintain a safe laboratory environment and meet accreditation requirements
• Flexibility to adapt to laboratory needs, testing, and scheduling
• Ability to operate a pneumatic tube system
