Job summary

Alverno’s Central Laboratory- Histology in Hammond, IN is seeking a technician for the overnight shift from 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with weekend/holiday rotation. The role focuses on processing specimens and delivering timely, accurate test results in accordance with established procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma; 12–18 months of related experience is preferred, and a background in medical terminology or laboratory work is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO

This individual is responsible for specimen processing and the analysis, evaluation and reporting of waived and moderately complex laboratory test results, in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards, to provide appropriate specimens and accurate data in a timely manner.
