Job summary

Alverno’s Central Laboratory- Histology in Hammond, IN is seeking a technician for the overnight shift from 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with weekend/holiday rotation. The role focuses on processing specimens and delivering timely, accurate test results in accordance with established procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma; 12–18 months of related experience is preferred, and a background in medical terminology or laboratory work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Background in medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and analyze, evaluate, and report waived and moderately complex tests per departmental procedures and professional standards to ensure accurate data and timely results.
