Job summary

Alverno Laboratories in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a part-time lab technician to handle specimen processing and the analysis, evaluation and reporting of waived and moderately complex laboratory test results in accordance with procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 12–18 months of related laboratory experience, and a background in medical terminology.

The shift is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with weekend and/or holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Twelve (12) to eighteen (18) months of related experience is preferred.
• Background in medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform analysis and reporting of waived and moderately complex tests in accordance with procedures.
