Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant II to assist in the hospital laboratory. The role involves receiving and accessioning specimens, data entry, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate results.

Qualifications

• Two years of college science courses preferred.
• Two years relevant lab experience or MLT certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Process patient specimens and ensure accurate test results.
• Enter patient data and specimen information accurately.
• Maintain PPE compliance and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Train and support staff; assist in student education.
• Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with departments.
