CommonSpirit Health is hiring a Laboratory Assistant to support the laboratory and healthcare team in Omaha, NE. You will process specimens, assist with testing, and manage supplies to ensure timely and reliable patient care.

Responsibilities include handling test results, following policies, and collaborating with the team to maintain workflow and accuracy. Phlebotomy may be part of duties, along with equipment maintenance.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS-CPR within 90 days of hire.
• 6 Months experience in acute care facility preferred.
• Lab Assistant and/or Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Process specimens for testing and organize specimens for distribution.
• Assist with laboratory testing under supervision and follow policies.
• Handle send-out testing and prepare packing lists for external labs.
• May perform phlebotomy following standard blood collection procedures.
• Maintain equipment and monitor department inventory; record reagent usage.
