Job description

Come join VMH Laboratory as a Laboratory Assistant! We focus on delivering excellent healthcare and quality service. Our work environment is supportive and professional, encouraging collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving across the system.

As part of our team, you will perform tasks such as drawing blood, performing basic lab tests, answering the phone, and assisting with various administrative duties.

Work Schedule

Hours for this Laboratory Assistant position are 3-4 days per week, 0.70 FTE, approximately 56 hours per bi-weekly pay period. Shifts are primarily from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with fill-in opportunities. Weekend shifts start at either 5:30 am or 1:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience with blood drawing preferred but not required; training available for the right candidate.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or in Phlebotomy is beneficial.
• CPR certification is required.

Benefits and Compensation

We offer holiday pay, evening and weekend differentials, along with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, Paid Time Off, and a 401(k) savings plan. The minimum starting pay rate is $16.98 per hour, depending on experience.
