Position Qualification Requirements

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent; Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience: One year as a laboratory assistant; phlebotomy skills required.
• License(s)/Certification(s): CPR Certification.

• Proficiency with computer/lab information systems.

Essential Functions

• Perform equipment maintenance and temperature checks.
• Accession samples and perform low to medium complexity tests.
• Prepare buffers and reagents.
• Prepare samples for send-out to reference labs.
• Assist Medical Technologists with laboratory equipment and tests in chemistry, bacteriology, urine analysis, and hematology.
• Maintain laboratory logs as per policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
