The role you’ll contribute:

The Laboratory Assistant III performs various laboratory support procedures in assigned areas, including phlebotomy and specimen processing in clinical and anatomical pathology. The role requires meeting continuing education and department-specific requirements, practical knowledge of laboratory procedures, advanced problem-solving skills, and active participation in laboratory, campus, or community programs.

• Maintains workspaces in a neat, organized, and properly supplied manner; correctly stores documentation and paperwork
• Performs post-analytical activities as needed to support the department
• Supports department operations, including answering phones, clerical duties, and receptionist tasks
• Assists management with special projects

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year of relevant healthcare experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by the facility
• Driver's License if required by the facility
