Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Hartford Hospital is seeking a Lab Assistant for the third shift at 80 Seymour Street. Under supervision, you will support preanalytical processing, prepare specimens for testing, and handle accessioning and registration duties to ensure timely lab workflows.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year in a laboratory, medical, or related setting, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a laboratory, medical or other related setting OR any experience or training that supports minimum training for the duties above
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and good leadership abilities.
• Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards.
• Ability to be flexible as required to adapt to laboratory needs as related to testing and scheduling.

Shift Detail: Third shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation hours 10:30pm-7am
