Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Analyst I to join its accredited commercial laboratory. The role provides routine scientific tasks under close supervision and requires basic knowledge of laboratory principles and instrumentation.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma (or Bachelor’s degree) and be able to prioritize work, operate standard lab equipment, and record data accurately while following safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of principles, terminology, practices and instrumentation used in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines and rush orders.
• Computer literacy and ability to work with delicate laboratory equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and accrediting body requirements to prepare and process samples and collect information for analytical testing.
• Prepare standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analyses.
• Use laboratory equipment and instrumentation to process and analyze samples.
• Record observations and data accurately and maintain logs and notebooks.
• Assist with data entry into LIMS and perform general administrative tasks.
