Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Analyst for an onsite role in Belcamp, Maryland. The candidate will perform physical and chemical testing in a team setting with a focus on accuracy, safety, and timely data reporting.

The position emphasizes developing expertise in products and customer requirements, maintaining good lab records, and supporting QA and Food Safety initiatives. Onsite work schedule and weekend shifts may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment.
  • Prioritize testing based on business needs and departmental goals.
  • Perform specialized testing in support of internal and external customers.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure supplies are available.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of laboratory data.
  • Review data for accuracy and communicate concerns to supervisor.
  • Develop knowledge of products and customer requirements.
  • Maintain the sample retain library.
  • Participate in QA and Food Safety improvements.
  • Manage release timeframe of inbound materials and finished goods.
  • Participate in GMP audits and implement corrective actions.

Laboratory Analyst

Location: Belcamp, Maryland (Onsite)

Role Overview

This is an entry-level position for a Laboratory Analyst. The role involves performing physical and chemical testing within a team environment. This position is for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and offers a flexible work schedule. The role is based entirely onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a safe, clean, and accident-free laboratory environment.
  • Prioritize testing based on business needs and departmental goals.
  • Perform specialized testing in support of internal and external customers and departmental projects.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of laboratory data.
  • Review laboratory data for accuracy and communicate any concerns to the laboratory supervisor.
  • Develop a working knowledge of products and customer requirements.
  • Maintain the sample retain library.
  • Participate in the improvement of Quality Assurance and Food Safety systems.
  • Manage the release timeframe of inbound raw materials and finished goods.
  • Participate in facility GMP audits.
  • Implement corrective actions as directed by laboratory management.
  • Stay current with scientific developments in areas of expertise.
  • Work with operations and quality assurance to understand demands on laboratory services and resolve process discrepancies.
  • Perform other work as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.
